All of King Yomanto’s kingdom was in great distress.
The crown jewel of his Kingdom was missing.
When Princess Loriana awoke in the morning, she could not find the Rose Topaz Ring!
The Rose Topaz Ring was the most valuable treasure in all of the Kingdom.
The Rose Topaz ring had been in the Yomanto family for twenty-seven generations. It dated back from the times of Yomanto the Invincible, to whom it had been given by a powerful Magician.
The Palace was being turned inside out and upside down in search of the Rose Topaz Ring.
The entire Court rushed hither and thither, up and down, around and around searching everywhere for the Rose Topaz ring.
But it was nowhere to be found.
A reward of a million ducats was offered.
And still the Rose Topaz Ring remained missing.
When the King added the a greater reward: the finder of the ring would win the hand of Princess Loriana.
Princes from all over the land joined in the search.
The Princess favored Prince Valdimir, but every day he, and all the other Princes returned to the Palace without finding the Rose Topaz Ring.
Sir Erindus, the Wisest Man in the Kingdom knew that in the long history of Kings, once before the Rose Topaz Ring had been lost.
The search went far and wide by everyone in the Kingdom until it was found in a far corner of the Kingdom.
There was no explanation of how it had gotten so far from the Palace.
But that story meant nowhere was too far away to be searching for the lost Rose Topaz ring.
